Terry Freitas Commons (previously Terry Freitas Cafe)

Terry Freitas Commons (TFC) is a fully student-led organization that serves as a lounge and food pantry for all students. TFC also provides a welcoming space for people to study, have meetings, and socialize through playing pool, piano, and games.

TFC has had a long legacy as an organization that is by the students and for the students. It was created to provide a welcoming space for students to connect, play pool, express themselves, explore social justice on a global level, and study.

Throughout the academic year, a number of programs are held at TFC, whether they're hosted by the student team or collaborations with other organizations to provide programming that reflects the themes of College Nine-International and Global Perspectives and John R. Lewis College-Social Justice and Community.

During the day, Terry Freitas Commons is open as a lounge and study area. We hope that residents find a home away from their rooms at Terry Freitas Commons.

Hours, events, and all information are updated on TFC’s Instagram, @tfc_ucsc.
