Residence Halls
The College Ten and Ten Residence Halls (three for College Ten and three for College Ten) house over 120 students each in fully-furnished single, double, and triple rooms. The very limited numbers of single rooms are usually allocated to residential staff and continuing residents. Only a few singles are set aside for incoming students. There is a telephone jack in each bedroom and enough Internet connections for each resident. Each resident is provided with an extra long twin mattress bed (80"x36"x6"), chest of drawers, closet, wastebasket, bookshelf, desk, and a chair. All rooms are carpeted and have curtains, a soft fluorescent overhead light and a wall heater.
All six Halls are smoke-free residences. Students can choose between single-sex or co-ed floors and some floors feature a community lounge for meeting friends, studying, and participating in residential programming.
The College Ten Residence halls are set among multitrunk deciduous trees on a large, sunny knoll surrounding a landscaped plaza. The College Ten/Ten Dining Commons sits adjacent to the College Ten residence halls. The 4,500 square foot Dining Commons forms the hub of College Ten and Ten student activity. The dining hall features continuous dining and offers students a variety of food preparation stations. The space includes a multipurpose room, which doubles as an auditorium that can open up to face an outdoor amphitheater.
